Allerthorpe has a close-knit, established team of experienced staff devoted to bringing on every horse to its full potential. We are very proud to say this team has been together for some considerable time now with each member bringing their own wealth of knowledge, experience and genuine love for horses to the Stud. Our staff contribute at every single level to the success that our show jumpers are enjoying on the competitive stage and Allerthorpe would not be what it is today without their input, inspiration and dedication. They share our dream.
Liz and Mick Wood manage the Stud and bring an enormous amount of experience, passion and sheer hard work to the business. They live in the grounds of the stud and, with the help of our permanent on-site staff, provide around-the-clock care and attention for our horses.
Liz manages Allerthorpe's business operation, she has a professional approach and strives for perfection, personally ensuring that every aspect of the stud is well run whilst also being involved with future planning. Their expertise makes them fully able to give good sound advice and care for our clients needs and deal with their enquiries. They have an exceptional knowledge of bloodlines and bloodstock which makes them instrumental in the planning of our breeding programme where we strive to promote and encourage the best bloodlines in the country.
Liz is a key member of our team and is often the first point of contact for our clients, suppliers and staff where her managerial and admistrative skills are invaluable.
World-ranked show jumper Robert Smith leads our international team and has represented the country in numerous Nations Cup competitions. Jackson Reed-Stephenson, another of our experienced show jumpers has enjoyed great success with our younger horses and is deeply involved in the schooling and development of our young stock.
